He was stabbed at the governor's house in Kyaukpadaung Township
 ==========================

 A village administrator in Kyaukpadaung Township was stabbed by a group of people on the night of May 18.

 He was admitted to Meikhtila Hospital after a group of people entered the house of Pun Kyaing Village Administrator U Kyaw Myint at around 10 pm and stabbed him.

 A Pan Kyaing villager said, "People in the village were hiding because they heard dogs barking and did not know who was stabbed when they were stabbed."

 Kyaw Myint, 65, has been an administrator since the NLD and is still serving under the coup junta.

 The governor's wife was also at home at the time of the incident, and the alleged perpetrators came on a motorcycle.

 Kyaw Myint had planned to arrest some young people from Pan Kyaing village.  On May 14, locals told Mizzima that some youths wanted to be arrested were in Pin Kyaing village in Nat Mauk Township, just across the river from Pan Kyaing.

 The KPG Update News, a local online news outlet, reported that "12 soldiers fired their shots, but no one was apprehended."  It says:

 A villager said, "In Pin Kyaing village, there was a wedding party that day. When the wedding party was captured, all of them had to flee. Two military vehicles returned with food and vegetables. The so-called Dalan paid 500,000 kyat to the army and police."  He said.

 On May 19, the day after the administrator was stabbed, five more soldiers arrived in the village in search of homes and looted their belongings, according to KPG Update News.

 It takes almost half an hour by motorbike from the nearest police station to reach Pan Kyaing village.

 When the soldiers and police arrived, the villagers were fleeing to a nearby forest.
