Moe Bwe Police Station PDF confiscated; Police arrested with weapons

The People's Defense Forces (PDF) and the military council have been fighting since this morning (May 23) in Moebye, Phekone Township, southern Shan State, and have seized the Moebye police station.
"The police station was set on fire for about an hour. Both sides suffered casualties. Two civilians were injured in the 422 artillery shelling. At least 13 people were killed and four others were captured," said a PDF member.
He said the four policemen were arrested with PDFs.
In addition, the Moe Bwe General Administration Office was reduced to ashes.
In the afternoon, PDF troops intercepted troops from Loikaw, Loikaw, Kayah State, to prevent them from entering the town.
At present, the fighting is calm, but the military council troops are entering the area, locals said.
